Ground Source Heat Pump

Ground Source Heat Pump

Also known as geothermal or ground-to-water heat pump, these utilise the heat of the earth to water. This is done using a mixture of water and anti freeze which absorbs the natural heat from the ground and flows through a loop of pipe underground. The water mixture is then compressed and raised to a higher temperature through a heat exchanger using electricity and transfers to the heat pump to heat the pool water. Although they require electricity to run, they use less electrical energy than the heat they produce.
